Dear Sir/Madam,

1 On behalf of SNGPL HR you are invited to participate in the assessment center being held at Avari
Xpress, Gulberg 3, Lahore. The assessment centre has been outsourced to third party consultants Sidat Hyder
Morshed Associates (Pvt.) Ltd. (SHMA), a well-established management consulting firm. The principal aim of
this assessment centre is to undertake an objective review of your soft skills/ competencies for assuming higher
responsibilities and with a view to identifying your strengths and development areas.

2 This Assessment Center has been designed especially for SNGPL by SHMA, based on the management
competencies. The competencies that will be assessed as part of this assignment are as follows:

a) Timely Decision & Decision Quality

b) Focus on Results & Planning
c) Creativity
d) Communication
e) Teamwork

3 The assessment center exercises that you will be involved in, have been developed to assist us in
assessing the degree to which you possess each of the above mentioned competencies. The assessment will be
based on a behavioral model which means those assessing you will not make inferences about what they think
you will do; instead, your assessment will be based on your observable behaviors.

4 The assessment center exercises which you will undergo have been shared below in order to familiarize
you with the format and to give you some idea about what to expect.
Exercise Description
Group Discussion There will be a Group Discussion exercise to assess your competencies in a team setting.
The game will comprise of a fictitious scenario, and you will have to come up with a
solution, in collaboration with your team members.
Psychometric A personality test will be administered by our trained personnel
Personality Test
Presentation In the simulation exercise, you will be asked to present your solution to the assessors
Role Play These will be brief fictitious scenarios where you will be required to play a role provided
to you and interact with an assessor
Creativity This will be a brief exercise/questionnaire which will assess your level of creativity and
Exercise imagination.

5 The assessment will be held as per communicated schedule at Board room C & D, Avari Xpress,
Gulberg 3, Lahore.

6 Please note that you will be provided a detailed introduction and orientation to the day when you arrive,
and the assessment centre team will be available during the day to deal with any queries you may have. It would
be appreciated if you could please arrive on time as the exercises are closely timed and arriving late may leave
you with less time to complete a certain exercise. Please also note that all the material you require will be
provided to you at the Assessment Center and you don’t need to carry anything with you or prepare for the
assessment center in advance.
