“Dress and Act Right: Exploring the Effectiveness of Wearing School Uniform as

Perceived by the Senior High School Students of Ozamiz City National High School”

This study investigated the effectiveness of wearing school uniform to the

students’ perspective about their safety, behaviour and self-confidence. This was

conducted at Ozamiz City National High School, Division of Ozamiz City during the

school year 2019-2020. It aims to enhance and improve knowledge and perception

about the perspective of students regarding to the effects of wearing school uniform.

The participants were the students of the Senior High School curriculum

consisting of 274 respondents. A survey questionnaire entitled the quality of wearing

school uniform was used to get information about the opinions of the students relating

to the effect of wearing school uniform. The data collected revealed that wearing of

school uniform of the students has a great effect to the students’ perspective about

their safety, behaviour and self-confidence. Moreover, the influence of the School

Administrators, Teachers and their Parents has great impact for the fulfilment of the

students to wear their uniforms. The implications and further directions for this study

are discussed.
