ASSESSMENT GUIDELINES
• Task Non-submission. If you are absent on the due date of the task and miss this assessment, you
will need to:
- Year 10 – 12. Submit a Student Assessment Form (with a Medical Certificate) as soon as you
become aware that you will miss an assessment or, at latest, before school on your first day
back. Submit hand-in tasks with the form and be ready to complete in-class tasks on your first
day back. If you do not submit a Student Assessment Form on your first day back, you may
receive a zero mark and an N-Award Warning Letter.
- Year 7 – 9. Submit a note (with a medical certificate) to your class teacher. Submit any hand-in
task and be ready to complete any in-class task on your first day back at school.
• Malpractice. Your assessment needs to be all your own work. Rules involving Malpractice are included in your Academic Handbook. As indicated in the
Academic Handbook, penalties apply for plagiarism, collusion, and any other form of malpractice. This may include receiving a zero mark for a task, an
N-Award Warning Letter (Year 10 – 12), Letter of Concern (Year 7 – 9) and being placed on the HSC Malpractice Register (Year 12). By submitting your
assessment, you are agreeing to abide by NESA and College rules regarding malpractice.
• Task Modifications. If you are eligible for assessment modifications, your teacher will provide you with an Assessment Task Modifications Sheet
indicating the specific modifications as specified by your plan.
• Referencing. Students should use the Harvard Referencing system as outlined in their Diary/Academic Handbook.
