Professional Organization for Mechanical Engineers. It is very beneficial for us to join this such

organization because we can learn many things that can help us in our future work. It is stated

that PSME offers CPD accredited seminars, conferences with expert lecturers and speakers,

technical resources like Philippine Mechanical Engineering Code (2012), books and articles and

other information available to members only. We learn by participating in various conferences,

technical forums and meetings. As we are learning, We can also share our skills and knowledge

2. When can one member be terminated and explain in your own understanding the

ethical standard that needs to be maintained as a member? (Explain In 150 Words)

As being part of a professional organization, It is our responsibility and obligation to

follow and perform under a standard of professional behavior that requires adherence to the

highest principles of ethical conduct. Failure to comply with those rules and principles may result

in membership termination, although it can also be revived provided compliance materials are

returned. These views are understandable since there are tasks that a professional organization

must undertake to retain its integrity and reputation. There have been instances when following

such regulations is unpleasant, and we have no control but doing so since we benefit through it.

However, Having ethical standards about it is important for navigating our day-to-day life. It also

helps guide us through real life cases that have come before the Board of Ethical Review, so we

can see the nuances of the code and how it can be used to make better decisions.
