Why did my father almost die?

Introduction
In December 2019 my father was attacked by two people at midnight. At that time in my house
there were only my dad and mom who were asleep when these individuals penetrated my
home. When I received the news I was in the boarding school at the Urania Montas Campus. I
can say that knowing that my father and mother were attacked by thieves and that my father
was in a hospital shocked me very much.

One of the reasons why my father was the most injured was because he heard the robbers and
got up and had a confrontation with them. In which the robbers hit him with a baseball bat
several times in the body and in the head leaving him in a critical condition. Another of the
causes is due to the lack of concern or attention to the facts, due to the fact that in previous
days they had tried to penetrate my home. However, my father did not pay attention to this
fact and several days later they did manage to enter the house and when he realized this it was
already too late.

The effects of this event in my life were disastrous and very painful for me and my sisters.
Among them the desperation and sadness of knowing that my father needed an operation due
to the different breaks he had. The separation from my family for more than a month, my
sisters stayed with my grandmother and my parents were in Santo Domingo at the hospital,
while I was alone taking care of the house. Apart from all this the great emotional impact of
sadness that I faced all that time being alone and worried.

Conclusion
My father spent 30 days in the city hospital, where he underwent surgery. This operation cost
around 70 thousand Dominican pesos which was a blow to our economy at that time. In spite
of this moment God did not abandon my family and kept us strong in every moment. Helping
us to get over this bad experience.
