You are on page 1of 1

The final paper will build off of what you have written in the mid-term deliverable.

In this paper, you

will conduct a 5-8 page analysis and evaluation of your internship. The guidelines for this are
included in the back of the syllabus.

You may reference your previous work, but I would recommend that you place a heavy emphasis on
any new aspects of the projects you are currently working on. Highlighting a progression in
responsibility, progress towards completion, leadership, etc would make for a very compelling
report.

Section 1: ANALYSIS AND EVALUATION:

The analysis and evaluation section should be used to discuss and criticize the actual writing
produced on the job. You are required to articulate what has been learned during your internship.
You will need to evaluate organization as a whole and to discuss its treatment of you, as well as other
employees. You will need to report your own overall performance as well as the quality of work
produced during the internship. This section offers a unique chance to reflect on professional
identity, management, and practice in the workplace.

Section 2: CONNECTION TO DEGREE/CONCLUSION

In this section you should:

1.) Provide a detailed account as to how your coursework prepared you for this internship.
Please provide specific examples, concepts, etc.
2.) Elaborate on how this internship contributed to your growth as a professional (i.e what skills have
you gained as a result of this experience).
3.) Detail any challenges/surprises that you encountered during the internship, and how you
overcame them.
4.) What are your plans professionally/academically in the future, and did this internship experience
help guide your decision?

APPENDIX (optional):

The appendix should include samples of written work as well as letters of evaluation, pertinent
correspondence and other documents of interest. Only material directly referred to in other
sections of the report should be included; all writing samples and other documents included must
be identified as well as have their significance explained. You are required to be selective and only
include the most pertinent and best samples of your work. Please note that pages/documents in
this section do not count towards the final page count.
