I. Title Page
The title page of the Internship Report will include:
Name of the host organization – the organization where you had your internship
Starting and ending dates of the internship
College and department name
Name of student-intern
Course and major of the student
Submission date of the internship report
An executive summary previews the main points of an in-depth report. It helps the
reader to get a quick glance at the report before reading it in detail. Every important
thing that you have done, discovered and concluded should be mentioned here in a
brief and concise manner. This is usually written last so that it accurately reflects the
content of your report; but is placed at the beginning of your paper.
In this section, you are required to provide the following information on the
organization that hosted your internship:
Brief history
Business value and/or volume (total number of shares, branches, current and
future contracts planned for a particular period, market leadership, ranking,
franchise fee, etc.)
Product lines - list complete range of products/services of the organization
Competitors
Future prospects of the organization - describe the future plans of the organization
regarding new projects, products, expansion, etc.
Hierarchy chart
Brief introduction of all the divisions/ business units/ departments
Comments on the organizational structure:
V. Training Program
Indicate starting and ending dates of your internship.
If applicable, a brief introduction of the branch where you did your internship, then
the names of the departments in which you got training and the duration of your
training.
You are required to describe in detail all the tasks/activities that were performed by
you and/or project(s) assigned to you during your internship. Description given in
bullets is NOT acceptable. Expound your responsibilities and accountabilities.
VII. Conclusion
Note: Maximum 1 page
In this section, you are required to describe the organization according to your
evaluation/assessment in the light of your learning experience and analysis.
In this section, you are required to suggest solutions to problems or discrepancies you
have pointed out based on your observation, analysis, internship/learning experience
in the organization, and your knowledge on management theories, concepts and
models.
IX. Acknowledgement
Note: Word limit: 200 words
In this section you should acknowledge the help and support of all the people who
assisted you in the completion of your internship and compilation of your internship
report e.g., staff, supervisor, mentor, family, OJT adviser, or any other person. It’s
good to be grateful! 😊
XI. References
In this section, provide all the references and sources that you have used to support
your analysis and/or data/information gathering in APA format.
Notes:
In sections III-IV, students are expected to collect information from various sources such as
within the organization (managers, internship supervisor and other concerned persons) and
organization’s website, documents, brochures, etc. The description should be IN YOUR
OWN WORDS.
Sections V-VIII are NOT expected to be copied from anywhere. Students must provide
information in these sections based on personal observation, learning and experience
gained during the internship. Not being truthful or copy-pasting in these sections is NOT
acceptable and for this reason the entire internship report can be completely rejected.
Sections IV and V are the core of your internship report and should be given extreme
significance. But remember, each part is essential, therefore, DO NOT skip any part as
every part is included in the evaluation criteria.
There should be harmony among the ideas that you describe in the Insights and Analysis,
Conclusion and Recommendation.
The Internship Report should be submitted within the due date as stated by the OJT Adviser.
