What’s new with Cat Hand Tools and Shop Supplies

Hello. Things have been moving right along here at Cat Tools and
Supplies and there’s lots of new stuff on the wire for the end of the year
and first quarter of 2015.

First I want to talk about tool boxes, specifically boxes used in over-the-
road trucks. We at one time sold a box that was designed to haul in the
back of service trucks. That box was cancelled due to various reasons,
and we never had a lot of interest in putting a replacement back into the
line. This was unfortunate because lately it seems that a lot of people
look at some of our smaller boxes as truck boxes, and they are not. For
instance, our 26-inch heavy-duty box (329-6983) is not a truck box. It is
a really good shop box but is not built to withstand the rigors of the road
and pounding of worksites. Since this has started to become an issue,
we are looking at a new style that has a heavy duty-frame, gusseted
wear points, heavy-duty slides, and weighs in around 130 pounds.
Could be something of interest. If you have anything to add on this
subject, please let me know.

While we are talking about boxes used in trucks, let’s touch on

warranty. The warranty on tool boxes has always been lifetime on

slides, casters, and fit and finish, but not wear. So if you are roading a Sales Manager
standard box, warranty does not count, so let us know what you need in Cat Hand Tools and Shop Supplies

Many shops still have these, it’s a pretty good box. This box mounts to Cell (309) 634-6465

tools are missing and the doors are lockable to boot. We used to sell
these a long time ago, and look to have them in the line by the first of
the year. Overall dimensions are 72" (182.5cm) wide when open, 36"
(91cm) wide when closed. The center unit is 36" (91cm) wide X 36"
(91cm) high, X 5.75 (15cm) deep. Side doors are 18" (45cm) wide X 36"
(91cm) high, X 4" (10cm) deep. The finish is a textured black. Let me Send me your questions,
