Permanent Staff Employment Positions:
The employment positions available for postgraduate applicants will be aligned to the
applicant’s qualifications. However, Europa-Park is primarily focused on filling
positions within the Hotel and Restaurant sector.

Available employment positions within Restaurants (both in the park & hotels):
Service Staff
Chefs
Assistant Chefs
• Chef positions do not require a high German level, limited understanding of the
German language will suffice.

Available employment positions within Hotels:

Housekeeping Staff
Front of House Agents (Receptionists)
• A high German level is necessary.
• If the applicant is still in progress with higher German level, yet a stellar Front of
House candidate, a position at the Rulantica Front Office may be offered - the
responsibilities align to Hotel Reception.
Available employment positions in the Attraction sector:
Europa-Park theme park & Rulantica Attraction Operator Staff
• It is only possible to hire applicants with an EU passport.
• Basic knowledge of German is required.

Available employment positions in Rulantica:

Lifeguard
• Basic knowledge of German is required.
• Applicants must successfully complete German lifeguard certification. This
course is provided by Europa-Park.

‘Ausbildung’ - Apprenticeship programme at Europa-Park:

This amazing programme combines study blocks with gaining practical
experience during a 2-3 year period at the Europa-Park. The training offered to
foreign applicants is primarily in the hotel and F&B sector. Listed below are the
different categories of Ausbildung offered and the respective duration. Applicants
MUST have AT LEAST a B1 level of German. However, a B2 level is highly
recommended - many technical terms are used in the vocational school and
experience has shown that trainees with B1 level often have problems with the
language.

Fachkraft für Gastronomie (Gastronomy specialist) – 2 years.

Restaurantfachmann (Restaurant Specialist) – 3 years.
Koch (Chef) – 3 years.
Hotelfachmann (Hotel Specialist) – 3 years.
Hotelfachmann mit Zusatzausbildung Hotelmanagement (Hotel Manager) -
Applicant must have additional training in hotel management – 3 years
• For hotel management training, alongside additional accreditation, the
applicant’s language level should be at least B2 - recommended C1.

An ‘Ausbildung’ at the Europa-Park is highly advantageous, providing a

qualification that is widely accepted and shoots candidates above and beyond
fellow peers in the hospitality industry.
Student Seasonal Work

Europa-Park has a fantastic student programme, inviting university learners to

come join Europa-Park for a work season over their holiday period. This
programme runs over the Mid-year and End-year student holiday break.

• Candidates must be registered university students to apply and have a

minimum of a 4-week holiday period available for seasonal contract.
• Seasonal work will consist mostly within Housekeeping - the cleaning and
maintaining of guest rooms.
• Candidates who speak German may be placed in different positions.
