1.

Introduction (Omar/Huthifa):

• Provide a concise overview of your research topic and its importance.

• Clearly state the research problem or question you intend to address. This
could be your research gap that we discussed last semester.

2. Objectives (Omar/Huthifa):

• Specify the specific objectives of your research, outlining what you aim to
achieve.
• Ensure that your objectives are clear, measurable, and directly related to
the research problem. There should be no more than 2-3. These can turn
into sub questions as you get further into the research.

3. Literature Review (Omar/Huthifa):

• Conduct a brief literature review to gain an understanding of existing

research on your topic.
• Summarize the key findings and identify any gaps or areas that require
further investigation. You will go more in depth later. This is just a cursory
investigation for now.

4. Methodology (Rolin):

• Describe the research methodology you will use to collect and analyze
data.
• Clearly state whether your research will be qualitative, quantitative, or a
combination of both.
• Outline the data collection techniques BRIEFLY (e.g., surveys, interviews,
experiments) and data analysis methods (e.g., statistical analysis, thematic
analysis). This can be general for now, but you should have a general idea
how you want to conduct the study.

5. Research Plan (Omar/Huthifa):

• Provide a timeline or schedule indicating the different phases and activities

of your research.
• Specify the duration of each phase and outline the steps you will take to
accomplish your objectives. The timeline does not have to be so detailed,
but can last up to two semesters. (Summer) (Fall)

6. Ethical Considerations (Rolin):

• Identify any ethical considerations that may arise during your research.
• Explain how you will obtain informed consent from participants (if
applicable) and maintain their privacy and confidentiality. This is crucial, especially
in the medical field.

7. Expected Outcomes (Rolin):

Discuss the potential outcomes or findings of your research.

• Explain how your research can contribute to the existing knowledge in
your field.

8. Budget (Rolin):

• Estimate the resources and funding required to conduct your research.

• Justify your budget allocation and indicate any potential sources of
funding.
9. Conclusion (Omar/Huthifa):

• Summarize the main points of your research proposal.

• Emphasize the significance of your research and its potential impact.

10.References (Omar/Rolin/Huthifa):

• Provide a list of the sources you have cited in your research proposal.
• Follow the appropriate citation style (e.g., APA, MLA) specified by your
institution or instructor.
Remember to keep your mini research proposal concise and focused. It should
demonstrate your understanding of the research process and your ability to plan
and
execute a research project effectively.
