Application for the Authorization and Licensing in Norway

Reseptarfarmasøyt (Prescriptionist/Pharmacist)
Step 1: (Documentation)
Following documents are required for the authorization and licensing:
1. Passport
2. Matric certificate (Respective Board and IBCC verified)
3. F.Sc. certificate (Respective Board and IBCC verified)
4. Pharm-D Degree (HEC verified)
5. Pharm-D transcript (HEC verified)
6. M.Phil Degree (HEC verified) (Optional)
7. M.Phil transcript (HEC verified) (Optional)
8. Clinical pharmacy clerkship 144 credit hour (Optional)
9. Pharm-D final prof clinical project
10. Pharm-D syllabus (According to your session)
11. Prospectus eligibility criteria (According to your session)
12. Category with Renewal (Attested by Secretary Pharmacy Council)
13. Letter of Good Standing (Optional)
14. Experience letter (Practice must be expressed with number of weeks or hours or ECTS
within each field of practice/department which include areas / institutions where your
practical training experience is conducted. It must also be described what form the
practice was conducted in (skill training, observation, patient-oriented practice or patient
simulation).
15. IELTS (mandatory for language admission in OSLO University, Minimum 5.5 bands
overall)

Note:
a. All documents (3,4,5,6,7 ) must be attested from Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
b. All documents must be colour scanned copies of the original documents - PDF format.
c. If an original document has multiple pages, all scanned pages must be collected in one document and
in the correct order.
d. All pages need to be rotated correctly.

Step 2: (Application process)
The form for applying for authorization and license as health personnel in Norway may be found
in the Norwegian form portal Altinn.
Follow following steps:
1) Visit https://www.helsedirektoratet.no/
2) Click on “Information in English”

3) Click on “Apply for authorization and license (altinn.no)”

4) Click on “Proceed to alternate log in method”

5) Register as New user

6) Then click on “Password” a new window appears. Enter user name and password to log in.

7) Select language “English” on right top corner of web page, if language has changed.

8) Click on “All forms and services”

9) Search for “Authorisation” a list of forms will be displayed. Select “Application for

authorisation and license as a healthcare professional”.

10) Click on “Application for authorisation and liscence as a healthcare professional”

11) Fill the column “Applicant” press “next”-----“Address” press “next”.

11) In “The application concern” follow steps


a Add authorization in country (Add pharmacist registration information from your
Category-A)
b Click on Profession

c Select “Prescriptionist (Reseptarfarmasøyt)”


d Click on Approval type

e Select “Authorisation” and click “next”.

12) Fill “Education and Experience columns” carefully.

13) Click on “attachments” and the “Check form”. If there is any problem Red colored

indication will be appeared otherwise you will see a green colored “tick” with “Main form”.

14) Then click on “list of forms and attachments” and follow steps:

1. Download form application form by clicking “Print version (pdf)”; Print (Colored) your

form; Sign form; Scan signed form and make one “pdf” file.

2. Select “file attachment type” to upload your documents as mentioned in “Step 1:


Documentation”.

3. After uploading all documents click on “Check all”. If there is any problem Red colored

indication will be appeared otherwise you can move to next step “Proceed to signing”.

4. Click on “Proceed to signing”.

15) Proceed to payment:
a. Only “VISA/Master/Credit Card” is acceptable for online payment.

b. Contact to your bank and activate “International online transaction” for 2 hour with
minimum two or 3 number of transactions and reserve at-least 50,000 rupees.

16) Last step is to click on “Signature step 1” and download your submission receipt.

17) You can see your submitted application form “My message box” in “Archived”.

18) You will receive one letter “Documents receiving” from Directorate of Health Norway.

19) Wait for 4-7 months (as per website).

20) After successful completion of process you will receive “License” of Reseptarfarmasøyt
(Prescriptionist) from Directorate of Health Norway.

Step 3: (Visa Application)

• Before submitting application in “Norwegian Embassy” you must have a

“Residential contract letter from Norway” or “Student Housing Contract”

• Submit your application at “Norwegian Embassy” in Islamabad, Pakistan along-with all


original documents and wait for “VISA”.

• Bank statement “2.3 million” just to show and attach this statement with your
application.

Step 4: (Travel to Norway)

After receiving Visa, you can book a ticket for Norway within specified period of VISA
issuance.

* These Expenses are excluded of documents verification and other expenses in Pakistan.
* You can work for 20 hours/week and can easily manage the living expenses with them, and
some portion of course fee as well.
* In case of fake documentation either in the form of experience letters, bank statement or
others, Norwegian immigration shows zero tolerance to them (In case of ambiguity you can
appeal your case once and your case will be forwarded to UNE by UDI and then you have no
right to appeal again and will be banned for 5 years straight on Schengen countries). Think
about yourself and dignity of Pakistan!
