Activity 1. Discuss the theories and philosophies of assessment of


learning
2. Discuss the technicalities of summative test according to
LR standards
3. Present the tips and guidelines in making assessment
tools
4. Walkthrough with the Most Essential Learning
Competencies by subject area
5. Let the participants create their own summative test for
3rd grading as part of writeshop activity.

Analysis After the presentation, ask the following questions:

1. What is the importance of assessment to teachers?


2. Why summative test must be authentic?
3. What can you say about the common practices of
teachers in making summative tests?
4. What values can we develop while doing the writeshop?
5. What are the skills develop during our activity?
6. What are the difficulties you encountered during the
writeshop?
7. Do you find it hard?

Abstraction/ Present the finished summative tests to introduce the key


Generalization understandings, skills and attitude developed.

Allow discussion if possible.

and draft their action research proposal for writeshop
activity.
