As fans have been waiting for more than a decade, Avatar: The Way of Water also takes place 15 years
after Avatar (2009). Once upon a time, Jake Sully (Sam Worthington), who is now the chief of the
Omatikaya tribe, lived happily with Neytiri (Zoe Saldaña) in the Pandora forest.

However, they are not alone. Jake and Neytiri have five children, namely Neteyam (Jamie Flatters), the
eldest son, Lo'ak (Britain Dalton), the second son, Tuk (Trinity Jo-Li Bliss), the youngest daughter, and
two the child they adopted, Spider (Jack Champion), a human child born at the Gates of Hell, and Kiri
(Sigourney Weaver), the child of the avatar Dr. Grace Augustine.

Unfortunately, the happiness they feel lasts a long time when Miles Quaritch (Stephen Lang), the evil
colonel who died in Avatar (2009), is "revived" in a recombinant form (an avatar implanted with human
memories). When Spider is shot by Quaritch, Jake and his family decide to go into exile to save their
tribe.
