ADMARC Limited Company was established as Statutory Corporation in 1971 under Chapter 67.03
of the Laws of Malawi. The Act was repealed in 2003. Following that, ADMARC was incorporated
as a Limited Liability Company, under the Companies Act. The repeal saw ADMARC Limited
becoming a non-subverted Statutory Corporation, but with Government being a major shareholder
with up to 99% shares.

The Board of Directors of ADMARC Ltd resolved to overhaul ADMARC Ltd by Corporate
restructuring. The Board approved new structures for ADMARC Ltd with new skills sets to take the
new ADMARC forward. All employees were retrenched.

ADMARC Limited, a Statutory Corporation in Agricultural Marketing is looking for suitably


qualified and experienced candidates to fill the following position:

Quality and Pest Control Assistant (Grade AL 9 based at various Depots)

Purpose of the Job


To support efficient quality control services at the depot

Key Duties and Responsibilities


1. Assisting in providing quality control services at the depot
2. Implementing quality and pest control plans, strategies and activities
3. Ensuring that quality control systems/procedures during buying and storage of the produce
are fully conducted
4. Conducting market and warehouses inspections to check and assess condition of
commodities/produce and report to the supervisor
5. Recommending appropriate chemicals for to prevent quality loss in produce, products or
commodities
6. Preparing reports
Minimum Qualifications and Experience

 MSCE and a Certificate in Industrial Chemistry/ Biological Sciences/ Industrial Laboratory/


Environmental Science and a relevant Certificate from a recognized institution
 Plus three (3) years’ work experience at District Quality Control Assistant level

4. Operating weighbridge machine
5. Reporting any weighbridge faults
6. Conducting physical stock verification/taking exercise to ascertain stock levels and reconciling
variances
