SPECIFICATION AND SCOPE OF WORK
Annexure I
1. The die profile as per the drawing mentioned below should be machined out of IN 100 die blocks
that would be given to the fabricator by DMRL. The part list and quantity requirement is given in
the below Table.
Part Nomenclature Drawing No. Material | Block ay
Dimension | (Nos)
| provided by
DMRL, mm
Top Die -STFESO0 | NNSGISTFESOOTOPIOI2I | INTOO |~ @510x90 T
Botiom Die - STFES00 | NNSGSTFESOOBOTION2I | INTOO | @510x90 T
2. Dimensional tolerances mentioned in the drawing should be strictly maintained.
3. CAD model of each part will be given to the fabricator in the formats of *.STEP/IGES/STL
before start of fabrication.
4, Material in the form of block shall be given to the fabricator by DMRL. The IN 100 block shall
be issued part wise for fabrication. Delivery period for each part is 1 month from the date of issue
of the respective die block. After fabrication of first part, the IN 100 block for the next part will
be issued for fabrication, FIM cost will be calculated based on the Maximum value out of all the
parts. The cost of FIM is Rs. 25,00,000/- (Rupees Twenty Five Lakhs only) for two blocks. The
vendor may pick single or both the blocks at a time by paying the requisite security deposit for
the FIM.
5. All machined parts shall be inspected on CMM and inspection reports shall be submitted. The
fabricator should arrange for pre-dispatch CMM inspection.
6. Parallelity between top and bottom surface of each machined part should be maintained within
30. This machined dies are to be assembled on die stack parts. The fabricator can have a look at
the die stack assembly arrangement before submission of the technical bid or after the release of
SO/PO.7. Fabricator getting the SO/PO may take the assembly reference of die stack parts prior to
the start of machining the actual die parts.
8. Any mis-match/abnormality in assembly of machined dies on die stack parts due to minor
parallelity issue shall lead to rework of the part at Fabricator's cost.
9, Total delivery period for completion of the job is 3 months from the date of issue of supply order.
10. The fabricator should take up machining of all the parts at his site only. No outsourcing by the
fabricator is allowed. Accordingly the quote must be for machining of all the parts mentioned in
the specification at Annexure-II. L-1 will be decided based on Total cost for machining of all the
parts mentioned herein,

VENDOR QUALIFICATION CRITERIA
1. Fabricators willing to participate in bidding should visit the existing die stack assembly in
the 2000 Ton press installation at DMRL either prior to submission of quotation or after
placement of Supply or Purchase order.
2. Fabricators should have prior experience of machining IN 100 material. Fabricators
having prior experience must submit the relevant purchase/supply order copies to DMRL
for verification along with the technical bid.
3. Fabricators who do not have prior experience of machining IN 100 material should prove
their capability before submission of the technical bid by carrying out operations of
tuming, facing and external threading (Metric M 20 x 1.5 mm) on a small cylindrical job
of size approx. @20 x 40 mm on a lathe machine (Geedie Weeler Precision lathe Model
No. MLZ 250V / HMT Lathe NH 22) available at DML.
‘This capability verification for fabricators do not have prior experience of machining IN
100 material shall be carried out at DMRL on mutually agreed dates by prior to the bid
opening date. Necessary tools required to perform these operations must be brought by
the respective fabricators on their own.
5. The job carried out by the fabricators do not have prior experience of machining IN 100
material will be evaluated and assessed by a technical committee of DMRL that shall be
constituted by AD, Stores. The decision of the committee shall be final and non
contestable. Those fabricators qualified by the technical committee of DMRL are only
cligible to participate in the bidding.
6. DMRL will carry out capacity verification of the firm, if required, prior to qualification
of the bid by the Technical Evaluation committee before release of supply order.

ACCEPTANCE CRITERIA
«All fabricated parts must conform to the drawings specified.
CMM inspection report of all machined parts must be submitted
The machined parts will be assembled and checked in the die stack parts of 2000 Ton
Press at DMRL. Any mismatch/abnormality will lead to the rejection of the parts,
Final acceptance is subjected to the acceptance of individual parts and the acceptance of
assembly in the press.
