I prepare myself punctual and grooming then coordinated with the assessment center
manager, I confirmed the assessment record keeping and reporting arrangement, I check the
assessment guidelines, schedule, availability of the assessment center and candidates,
evidence and evidence gathering tools, workplace policies and procedures and ask the role of
all the people involved during the assessment then I conduct site inspection check the
completeness of assessment resources, assessment package and ensure safe and accessible
assessment environment then I explain the context, physical settings, purpose and
certification, I establish the allowable adjustment such as religion, language, culture, health
condition and other needs, then explain the legal and ethical responsibilities the
confidentiality, right to appeal, privacy, free consent of candidates OH&S and integrity of
assessor, transparent reporting and fairness then explain clearly the competency standards
to be assist such as Qualification Title, Unit of competency, elements and Methods of
assessment then explain the assessment then explain the assessment procedure to the
candidates such as establish the content and purpose of assessment , prepare the candidates
orientation, gather evidences, decision making, recording and reporting, giving feedback and
review of the assessment process then orientation is part of preparing the candidates to relax
and not comprehensive to provide supportive environment by allowing the candidates to be
clarified the competencies to be assets to be used the flow of assessment and responsibilities
of the people involve the ask the candidates to accomplished admission slip w/ ID picture
valid ID and let them sign the attendance sheet and compare the signature for validity then
explain the task to be performed, provide the specific instruction of the candidates to read
the task then I discuss the DO’s and DON’T’s such as I do not interrupt, I don’t ask question, I
do not leave the assessment room, I record my observation and stop the assessment if it will
affect the life and property, then during the interview if the candidates are wrong I will not
provide the correct answer because it may be pre-empts the answer to the next candidates
and they may think that the assessment are finish then I made my decision based on the four
dimension of competencies ,rules of evidence , evidence requirements and corroboration of
the evidences to other evidences gathered in accordance to the performance criteria the I
give clear and constructive feedback to reinforce good performance, explain specific area for
improvement, provide advice further training and give application for re assessment and if
candidate did not agree w/ my decision even after a clear feedback I will ask the candidates
to identify area of dis-agreement and record it in a written sheet and both sign, prepare
incident report promptly then prepare the attendance sheet with the result, rating sheets,
cars, complaint report and corrective action form.
