Powershift transmission calibration

NOTICE: If you encounter an error message during calibration, consult the table at the end of this procedure. If you
cannot resolve the problem using the table, contact your CASE IH dealer for assistance.

WARNING
Unexpected machine movement!
The machine could move automatically dur-
ing calibration. Park on a flat surface, en-
gage the parking brake, and be sure that
the area around the machine is clear before
starting the calibration process.
Failure to comply could result in death or
serious injury.

10. Depending on the current temperature of the hydraulic

fluid, three different messages may occur. If the fluid
is between 10 - 60  °C , a “Low Oil Temp” message
displays for 4 seconds and then the Oil Deg screen
redisplays.
• Press the Enter key while the “Low Oil Temp”
message displays to continue calibration.
• Perform calibration at a lower temperature only
when the recommended temperature range can-
not be achieved at the current ambient tempera-
ture.
• Move the vehicle to a heated enclosure, warm
the vehicle, and then perform clutch calibration RAIL14TR02486AA 6
again.

11. If transmission fluid is hotter than 105  °C , a “Hot Oil

Temp” message displays for four seconds and then
the Oil Deg screen redisplays.
• Press the Enter key while the “Hot Oil Temp”
message displays to continue calibration.
• Perform calibration at a higher temperature only
when the recommended temperature range can-
not be achieved at the current ambient tempera-
ture.
• Allow the vehicle to cool, and then perform clutch
calibration.

RAIL14TR02487AA 7

12. If transmission fluid is colder than 10  °C , a “Cold Oil

Temp” message displays for four seconds and then
the Oil Deg screen redisplays.
• Press the Enter key while the “Cold Oil Temp”
message displays to abort calibration. A Cal
Aborted screen displays.
• Press the Enter key to access the Cal Exit screen,
and then press the Enter key to exit calibration.
• Move the vehicle to a heated enclosure, warm the
vehicle, and then perform clutch calibration.
