remotely within four hours, and if needed, can dispatch to your site within 24 hours. CTIR’s elite team
arrives at your site with a full Cisco portfolio of security technology available if needed, to include Cisco
Secure Endpoint, Cisco Umbrella™, Cisco Secure Network Analytics, and Cisco Secure Access by Duo.
It contains the threat, analyzes intelligence, and helps you recover more quickly. The CTIR service offers
all of this with an annual subscription, baked-in travel, and no cost for access to the Cisco product suite if
needed (60-day trial licenses).
Accelerating use of renewable energy: in the past 15 years, we’ve made significant investments in
renewable energy, which has helped us drive down our Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions. For example,
we have achieved 100% renewable electricity at our facilities in the United States and several countries in
Europe and we have a goal to use electricity generated from renewable sources for at least 85% of our
global electricity by the end of fiscal year 2022.
Embracing hybrid work: supporting a culture of well-being that is flexible and puts people first, we will
continue to make our products and our workspaces conducive to a positive and productive work
environment and empower employees to make smart travel and commuting decisions that benefit them
and the planet.
Environmental
Our approach to protecting the environment is an inclusive future takes everyone, including future
generations into account. Cisco has set long-term goals to address the environmental impacts from our
products and business operations.
We look for opportunities to minimize our impact on the environment in every corner of our business and
supply chain and seek ways technology can reduce energy use and greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions.
See what we made possible in 2020.
With Cisco, you receive the full benefits of our global supply chain and disposals infrastructure, including:
Decreased costs – Elimination of costs associated with storing excess, outdated, or used ICT
equipment.
Proper disposal – A process to properly dispose of old equipment that is compliant with all
environmental legislation.
Accountability – A single point of contact, end-to-end visibility, and detailed reporting of product
disposal upon request.
Reduced Environmental Impact - Over 99% of equipment that comes back to Cisco is reused or
recycled.
Social
Cisco’s actions related to our corporate social responsibility (CSR) are grounded in our Conscious
Culture, where trustworthiness and ethical conduct are expected and supported among our employees,
suppliers, and business partners.
We act boldly and deliberately to accelerate fairness, inclusion, and equitable access to opportunity—to
make a positive social impact. Internally, we strive to foster an inclusive and diverse culture where
employees can be their whole selves while building new skills, exploring areas of interest, and becoming
catalysts for social change.
Powering an Inclusive Future for All is not a vision Cisco can achieve by acting alone. Partnerships and
collaboration—with customers, governments, nonprofits, and even competitors—allow us to multiply our
efforts and scale our impact. We are building these partnerships to help achieve a common vision: a
world where everyone has the opportunity to thrive.
Governance
Our Supply Chain Human Rights Governance Committee, chaired by the Senior Vice President of Supply
Chain Operations and comprised of senior supply chain executives, maintains executive oversight of risks
and opportunities within the supply chain. This committee allows us to integrate human rights policies and
priorities into business operations and garner feedback across functions. Supply chain representatives
also participate in Cisco’s Human Rights Advisory Committee, which convenes executive and senior-level
employees from across the company to drive Cisco’s overall business and human rights strategy.
We use supplier scorecards to measure and communicate conformance to Cisco’s requirements for
human rights and environmental stewardship. Having sustainability metrics alongside cost, quality, and
service delivery allows procurement managers to make informed decisions when awarding business to
suppliers.
