SUGGESTED ITINERARY
Day 01 Arrival at Bagdogra (IXB) Airport & Transfer to Gangtok (Approx. 125 Kms / 4 ½ Hrs.)
On your arrival at Bagdogra Airport or New Jalpaiguri Railway Station, you will be met by our official representative outside the Airport or Railway
Station and he will be assisting for the transfer to Gangtok. Gangtok is the most visited spot of India. Upon arrival, check into hotel. Overnight stay at
Gangtok.
About Gangtok
Gangtok is the capital of the mountainous northern Indian state of Sikkim. Established as a Buddhist pilgrimage site in the 1840s, the city became capital
of an independent monarchy after British rule ended, but joined India in 1975. Today, it remains a Tibetan Buddhist center and a base for hikers
organizing permits and transport for treks through Sikkim’s Himalayan mountain ranges.
After breakfast at hotel, proceed for the excursion to Tsomgo Lake & Baba Mandir nearly 40 kilometers. The Lake is oval shaped lake nearly 50 feet
deep. Generally covered in snow for most of the year. This lake is home to the Brahmini ducks & many migratory birds. Nearby is the sacred Baba
Mandir known to be a very holy site for all. Back to Gangtok & evening free for leisure. Overnight stay at Gangtok.
(In case of Landslide or due to any other reasons if Tshangu Lake is closed then an alternate sightseeing will be provided).
After breakfast, check out from the hotel and drive for visit to Directorate of Handicrafts & Handloom, Do Drul Chorten (Stupa), Enchey Monastery,
White Hall, Flower Show, etc. Later, transfer to Darjeeling. Upon arrival, check into hotel. Overnight stay at Darjeeling.
About Darjeeling
Darjeeling is a town in India's West Bengal state, in the Himalayan foothills. Once a summer resort for the British Raj elite, it remains the terminus of the
narrow-gauge Darjeeling Himalayan Railway, or “Toy Train,” completed in 1881. It's famed for the distinctive black tea grown on plantations that dot its
surrounding slopes. Its backdrop is Mt. Kanchenjunga, among the world’s highest peaks.
Early Morning at 04.00 am will move towards tiger hill. It is famous for its panoramic view of Mount Everest and MT Kanchenjunga together and early
morning sunrise. On the way back to hotel, visit the famous Ghoom Monastery and Batasia Loop.
After breakfast will have sightseeing which includes, Japanese temple, Peace pagoda, Ava art gallery, Padmaja Naidu Zoological Park, Himalayan
Mountaineering Institute (Closed on Thursday), Darjeeling Ropeway, Tenzing Gumpo Rock, Tibetan Refugee Self Help Centre (Closed on Sunday).
Overnight stay at Darjeeling.
After breakfast check out from the hotel and drive towards Bagdogra Airport or NJP Railway Station.
