QUESTION 1

With reference to the cost data given in Appendix 2 , analyse the unit rates for all items below

a) Reinforced concrete Grade 30 in suspended slab 100mm-150mm thick, by concrete mixer

(15 marks)

b) Total area of interlocking steel sheet piles to BS 4360, grade 43A, weighing 55.4 kg/m in length not
exceeding 12.00m
(15 marks)

c) 1200mm x 600mm x 4.5mm Thick 'UAC Superflex' or other equal and approved cellulose fibre
cement ceiling sheet and fixing to 50mm x 100mm SPT Grade B timber joist at 1200mm centers and
50mm x 50mm spacer fixed parallel with joist at 1200mm centers and across joint at 600mm
centers.

d) A school with an estimated tender sum of RM25 million and a contract period of 2 and a
half years is expected to start construction in December 2021. Price these items and
show the calculations and assumptions for the breakdown of the prices clearly.
