NJDEP Intern: Kittatinny Valley State Park, Newton, NJ January 2023 – May 2023
• Conducted road surveys for 11 Northern Region State Parks to allow maintenance teams to execute a
resurfacing plan
• Communicated with Park Police, maintenance coordinators and school districts
• Utilized GIS (the Collector app) and GPS software to locate and determine lengths/widths of individual
roads
• Operated Excel to input data of individual roads for each of the 11 parks
• Inputted data includes parameters such as: condition of asphalt and oil/chip, public or staff use only,
satellite area or within core of park, date of last resurfacing, school bus routes etc.
