Using other languages than German in BigBlueButton

At a meeting in BigBlueButton, the labels of the user interface are (largely) in German by local default. This
can be changed individually, so that e.g. students or teachers speaking other languages can adapt the
interface to their desired language. Changing the language by the teachers or tutors has no general effect, but
the respective participant can individually set the language in which he or she would like to take part in the
meeting.

After starting the meeting, go to the action menu at the top right [1] and then to [1]
"Einstellungen öffnen" [2] (= Open settings). In addition to various settings for
notifications etc.,
you will also find a
selection field for the
[4]
interface language [2]
[3]. There you can
select one of the
languages into which
the interface of
[3]
BigBlueButton has
been translated, i.e.
in addition to the default setting "Deutsch"
also all European and many other languages. If
you select the desired language there and click
on "Speichern" [4] (=Save), the changed
language is immediately available for this
session, but the change is not permanently
saved.
