    REFLECTION
    Gene therapy
    Gene therapy is a rapidly advancing field of medicine that aims to treat or cure genetic
    diseases by introducing or modifying genetic material within a patient's cells. The
    potential benefits of gene therapy are substantial, as it has the potential to treat a wide
    range of genetic disorders that are currently incurable. Another potential benefit of gene
    therapy is its ability to provide long-lasting or even permanent cures for genetic
    diseases. Unlike traditional treatments that may only provide temporary relief from
    symptoms, gene therapy has the potential to modify the underlying genetic cause of a
    disease.
