Motivation Letter
I would like to utter my strong motivation to take part in the "International
Winter University Program 2019 at Hochschule Darmstadt" that will be held on
December 29th 2018 until January 19th 2019 in Darmstadt, Germany.
My name is Asti Nur Khairunnisa. I am a fifth semester of Industrial Engineering
student at Sepuluh Nopember Institute of Technology, Surabaya, Indonesia who has deep
interest in organizations, events and international exposure. I am now a third year student
that has experiences in organizations since my freshmen year and also involved in several
events inside campus and also international such as AIESEC. My experiences have been
giving me several soft skills and knowledge that will help me to complete this program.
There are several motivation why I deeply interested in this winter course at
Darmstadt University of Applied Sciences. The main reason I want to join this program
is I want to expand my knowledge that related to my study in Industrial Engineering.
Therefore, I can have a better understanding that will lead to improve my study. The other
thing that motivates me is I want to develop myself in terms of independent, leadership,
courage, team work, communication, and other soft skills that lead me for better personal
branding and also useful for society. And the last motivation is I want expand my
international exposure with staying in Germany for 3-4 weeks, I will interact with many
people from different background and culture which makes me able to learn many things
from them.
I am really interested in this winter program, because the topic and courses is not
only interesting for me, but also related to my current studies. In Industrial Engineering,
we are not only make things, but we also make things better. By learning International
Marketing, I will be able to develop marketing and sales strategy for the success of the
product and company. Because in South East Asia is now facing ASEAN Economic
Community in which the fresh graduate must be able to compete with another graduates
from outside my country, having hard skill that has international insight will help me after
I graduate from my bachelor year.
I will prepare myself for this program by reading several of the course materials
that have been informed in the course outline and also asking my parents about their
experiences on marketing since my mother’s job is a marketing manager of one of the
biggest state-owned company to give me insight about marketing in job world.
I hope that by joining this program I can expand and gain new perspective about
education, subject, science and culture, so I can not only to develop myself but also will
give an impact to the environment and society around me.
