Cause
In some cases, it has been discovered that the bypass piston (see
Fig.2) in the oil filter retainer (see Fig.1) was stuck in the cylinder.
This will drain oil to the sump, giving a “Low main oil pressure”
warning as a result.
Action
If a machine experiences low transmission main oil pressure,
change the filter retainer including the sensors and test, before
considering to replace the transmission.
