CHAPTER II Problem Statement
General objective of the project:
Create an online student tutoring platform that facilitates the connection between students
who provide tutoring and those seeking academic support, in order to promote collaborative
learning, improve students' academic performance and generate an economic livelihood for
tutors.

Specific objectives of the project:

Our project consists of the creation of a help group among students within our institution. The
main objective is to provide support and guidance to those students who face difficulties in
understanding and studying certain topics. This support will be provided by other students who
possess solid knowledge in those specific areas.

The idea is that students who act as tutors or facilitators share their knowledge and help their
peers individually. In exchange for this support, a small financial contribution will be requested
from the student seeking help. In this way, a mutually beneficial dynamic is established, where
tutors receive compensation for their time and knowledge, while students get the necessary
assistance to overcome academic difficulties.

Justification
In the educational field, it is common to find difficulties in the complete understanding of
certain topics by students. This lack of understanding can lead to academic lag and limit
students' opportunities for learning and development.

The main objective of this tutoring project is to provide personalized support to students in
understanding specific topics. We seek to improve their academic performance, their
confidence and their motivation towards learning.
This project will benefit both tutors and students. Students will receive individualized attention
and will be able to effectively address areas where they present difficulties. On the other hand,
tutors will be able to share their knowledge and skills, strengthening their own understanding of
the subject and improving their teaching skills.

A thorough understanding of the topics is essential for students' academic and professional
development. By providing specialized tutoring, we are directly addressing the specific needs of
students and providing an individualized approach that is not always possible in the traditional
educational setting.

The implementation of this project is feasible due to the availability of tutors with specialized
knowledge and the willingness of students to financially support tutors. In addition, clear
agreements can be established between both parties to ensure effectiveness and mutual
commitment.

While there are other methods of academic support, such as group classes or online resources,
one-on-one tutorials offer a significant advantage by directly addressing each student's specific
difficulties. Direct interaction with a specialized tutor promotes a deeper understanding and
facilitates dialogue and the resolution of doubts.

The project will conform to current educational and labor regulations. Clear agreements will be
established between the tutor and the student to ensure transparency and compliance with
regulations related to economic exchange and data protection.
Potential risks will be identified, such as lack of commitment from participants or limited
availability of tutors on certain topics. Mitigation strategies will be put in place, such as the
careful selection of committed tutors and the creation of follow-up mechanisms to ensure the
quality of mentoring.
This project contributes to sustainable educational development by addressing students'
specific difficulties and strengthening their understanding of the issues. In addition,
sustainability is achieved through the economic exchange between the tutor and the student,
which allows the project to be maintained and soon expand this resource.

Scope:
Scope of flexible schedule: The tutoring project will adapt to the needs of students by offering
flexible schedules for tutoring sessions. This will allow students and the tutor to coordinate the
sessions at convenient and mutually agreed times, taking into account the availability of both
parties.

Customization of session duration: The project will allow flexible duration of tutoring sessions.
This means that both the tutor and the student will be able to agree on the duration of the
sessions according to their needs and preferences, considering the level of depth of the topic to
be treated and the availability of time for both parties.

Adjustment of frequency of sessions: The project will allow adjusting the frequency of tutoring
sessions according to the needs and availability of time of both the tutor and the student. Both
parties may agree on the optimal frequency to ensure effective progress in understanding the
topic, taking into account time constraints and other responsibilities.

Flexible communication: Fluid and flexible communication will be established between the tutor
and the student to coordinate the schedules and times of the tutoring sessions. Different
communication channels, such as email, text messages or instant messaging platforms, will be
used to facilitate coordination and maintain effective communication.
Limitations:
Limited geographic coverage: Tutoring with flexible schedules and time as possible for the tutor
may have limitations in terms of geographic scope, especially if the tutoring is conducted in
person. This can make accessibility difficult for students who are in remote or remote areas.

Coordination difficulties: Coordinating flexible schedules can be challenging, especially when

students and tutors have highly variable and busy schedules. This could lead to delays or
conflicts in scheduling tutoring sessions.

Dependence on tutor availability: If the tutor's availability is compromised due to unforeseen

circumstances, such as illness or personal commitments, it could lead to interruptions in
tutoring sessions and affect the continuity and progress of the student.

Resource limitation: Implementing flexible schedules and time as possible for the tutor may
require additional resources, such as technology and communication tools, which may not be
available in all cases. This could affect the quality and effectiveness of tutoring sessions.

FUCK:
Strengths:
Flexibility of schedules: The availability of flexible schedules allows to adapt to the individual
needs of the students, which facilitates the coordination of the tutoring sessions and increases
the accessibility of the service.

Personalized attention: Individualized tutoring allows the tutor to focus on the specific needs of
each student, providing more focused attention adapted to their comprehension difficulties.
Time adjustment according to the complexity of the topic: The possibility of adapting the time
of the tutoring sessions according to the difficulty of the topic to be treated allows a more
detailed and exhaustive approach in those topics that require it, guaranteeing a better
understanding by the student.

Opportunities:
Education Market Demands: There is a growing demand for personalized tutoring services that
are tailored to individual student needs. This provides an opportunity to offer a flexible
approach in terms of tutoring schedules and time.

Technology and communication tools: The use of online communication tools facilitates the
coordination and monitoring of tutoring sessions, allowing greater scope and flexibility for
tutors and students.

Weaknesses:
Limited availability of tutors: Flexibility of schedules and time may be limited by the availability
of tutors, especially if they are involved in other academic or work commitments.

Possible lack of student engagement: Flexibility can lead to less accountability on the part of
some learners, which could affect regular attendance at tutoring sessions and ultimately their
performance.

Threats:
Technological limitations and communication barriers: Limited internet access, technical issues
or language barriers could hinder the effective implementation of tutoring with flexible
schedules and time as possible for the tutor.
