Hand-Over Record
UAIS DEBEG 3400 with DCU DEBEG 3401
The following operating procedure is performed on the Display and Control Unit DEBEG 3401 (DCU). The
purpose of this document is to verify the correct installation of the AIS. Please make a mark in the small boxes
if the requirements are fulfilled.
Preferences
Before starting the procedure all equipment (UAIS Electronics Unit, DCU and navigation sensors) must already
have been switched on for at least 5 minutes. All connected navigation sensors should be available and should
indicate no fault condition. If this is not the case, please note it under Remarks on page 2.
1. Alarms
Requirement:
Þ During hand-over, no fault message and no fault code shall occur, which is
listed in the Technical Manual of the DCU (Fault Code List).
Exception: If no device providing Rate of Turn information is connected
to the installation, the alarm No valid ROT information may occur.
6. Pilot Plug
This function can only be demonstrated by the means of a Pilot Station.
This test is optional and depends on the installation.
Requirements:
Þ The Pilot Plug is not installed - Test not possible.
Þ If a Pilot Plug is installed
a) connect a Pilot Station to the Pilot Plug and check wether AIS information
is displayed correctly.
or
b) connect a laptop to the Pilot Plug and read out the NMEA messages to
demonstrate that the port ist working.
