I am Daniela James from the Orange Bay Community. I am writing this letter to raise awareness of
the increasing amount of car incidents in the area.

The taxi drivers in this district drive recklessly, accidents are always occurring in this general
location endangering the lives of the innocent people in the community. The roads are
horrendous, the sharp turns make it almost impassable without some sort of safety risk, and the
placement of road stumps don’t stop them, drivers just drive on the shoulder of the road –
sidewalk- which put the citizens lives at risk again. Also, most cars used to transport people have
numerous vehicle defects; unutilized seatbelts, door latch mechanics being out of order, fuel
system flaws.

This is an important matter that needs to be sorted out. The emotional toll that is put on the
people of Orange Bay seeing car incidents almost every day, according to the RSU needs to be
addressed. I suggest we build better roads, instil better road safety measures, such as road signs
and stoplights and do felicitous and thorough inspections of vehicles. On that account, I request
you highlight the issue in your newspaper and generate public interest. We all need to get
together to ensure a safe and protected environment for the people of Orange Bay
