Statement of Work

[Data Collection Project: Ring - CA]


SECTION I: Scope of Work

Project information:

1. Participants will complete short phone calls (2-5 minutes) from different devices.They will read
from provided scripts in order to simulate the ‘customer’ side of a customer care call. All calls
will be recorded.

2. All call recordings will be subject to a QA process to check call quality and the suitability of
accents.

3. Calls will be made to a Canada landline number. Standard call rates will apply. Callers will not
be compensated for the cost of the calls.

Main requirements:

1. Callers must be a native speaker of Canadian French.

2. Callers must be at least 18 years old.

3. Callers can be male or female.

4. Callers must complete 5 calls.

5. Callers must not exceed 3 calls per day, to be completed up to 2 days. Should be at least a 3-hour time
interval per call.

6. Callers should aim to call daily and to avoid missing days.

7. Callers must select a different topic for each call. One call, one script. 5 calls must cover 5 different
topics.

8. Callers must use at least two types of calling device (landline/mobile phone/VOIP).

9. Callers must use at least three microphone types (earphones/internal


mic/speakerphone/wireless).

10. Callers must meet the minimum standards for recording quality.

11. Answer all the agent's questions in the script. DO NOT READ out loud the agent's part. Sample of the
script are shown below.

Avoid simple answers like “yes” or “no”!


SECTION II: Payment Conditions

1. We will pay for calls that meet the required standards for accent and call quality, as
determined by the QA process. Calls that do not pass the QA process will not be paid for.

2. We will not pay for calls if the caller does not achieve 5 qualified calls.

3. We will not pay for calls that exceed the maximum of 5 calls per person.

4. Metadata must be submitted for each caller to confirm name, age, gender. Calls will not be paid
for if this information is not submitted.

SECTION III: Price


Service Unit Rate Currency Description

Recording Call (2-5 $50 USD Callers are paid 10$ for each qualified
minutes) call. Callers will not be paid unless 5
calls are approved.
