Project Synopsis:
Images captured from satellite and outdoor settings can go through limpidness
depletion mainly due to atmospheric scattering brought about by clouds, haze and to
some extent by air pollution. In order to increase the visibility of images captured in
hazy conditions several Image Dehazing Algorithms have been proposed. Image
Dehazing is therefore becoming more and more preferable in fields of computer
vision and computational photography.
This paper proposes deep CNN model based on dehazing algorithm using U-NET,
dynamic U-NET and Generative Adversarial Networks (CycleGANs). CycleGAN is
a method that comprehends automatic training of image-to-image transformation
without associated examples. To train the model network, we’ll be using SIH dataset
as the training set. This Paper proposes a model which uses U-net for image
segmentation. U-net is a semantic segmentation approach originally initiated for
medical imaging segmentation. The model architecture is divided into two parts: an
encoder (for downsampling) and a decoder (for upsampling). The architecture
requires an input image to be passed into model which is followed by convolutional
layers consisting of ReLU activation function. Advantage of U-net is that it keeps
memory of the original image, hence no data is lost and more and more information
can be extracted from the image by the model.
