of 1 in 4000. The critical velocity ratio for the soil is 1.1. Use Kutter's rugosity coefficient as 0.023.

(b) Derived the relationship between the discharge through the supply ditch (), the average depth of

(c) Determine the time required to irigate a strip of land of 0.04 hectores in area from a tube-well with
adischarge of 0.02 cumec. The infiltration capacity of the soil may be taken as 5 cm/hr., and the
average depth of flow on the field as 10 cm. Also determine the maximum area that can be irrigated
from this tube-well.
(d) Describe Duty and Delta of a crop, also derive the relation between them. What is Cash cron and
Crop rotation, Paleo irigation, Kharif-Rabi ratio?
