Teachers have an important role in the lives of children. As future educators, we must
be prepared and have sufficient information to utilize as a weapon in our future teaching. We
intend to teach children through our immersion in NSTP, and our plans become reality as we
integrate values into play. Titled "Growing Together: Developing the Basic Language Skills
and Values of Young Learners Through Collaborative Play". Play is essential in the lives of
children. Children may use their creative minds and enhance their social skills through play,
which plays an important role in their growth and learning. In addition, I learned that to
connect with children, I must first find their connections to others and to their environment,
which I will apply in my future teaching.

As we started our immersion with formal greetings and programs, I gained a lot of
insights that I will be able to apply in our future teaching. Our Mc greeted the pupils in
Tagalog, unaware that they preferred English. I realized that, as a teacher trainee, it is critical
to assess them with their language in order for us to speak with them and for them to easily
understand us. It is more crucial that when we communicate with children, we make eye
contact so that they can experience the typical environment and have a sense of belonging.

We begin our program with a body prayer, followed by an action song in which I
appreciate the abilities of everyone on my team. As future educators, we must be innovative
not just in our artwork but also in our dancing and singing. We must be adaptable. I view
myself as capable of doing everything, even if I am not particularly skilled at dance. If we
have a desire to learn and consider why we have to do it, it will all be worthwhile, especially
if it is for children.

Actually, I'm having stomach pains in the middle of our immersion; I'm not sure if it's
diarrhea. I learned that some occurrences are unavoidable, so as a future educator, I must be
prepared and flexible. As we ask them questions to measure their strengths and shortcomings,
I recall that some of them are highly active and others are very shy. We use one-on-one
instruction with them so that we can properly explain everything. I noticed that people are
more interested in what they see than in what they don’t see. I recognized that when we give
activities, we need to give specific instances to which they can relate so that they can answer
based on what they see and hear and also with the help of their experiences.
