Accomplishment Report Example

We are all shaped by education. Education is very vital that we need to be

knowledgeable and skilled in facing the real world. A proper education is always key in
success. As a future educator I am so happy to implement my project. Youth
Knowledge and Skills Acquirement Program goal is to teach them new knowledge and
skills that they may need in the future. In my seven days of teaching I was able to
experience how to be a teacher. It was not an easy task but I was so happy to
contribute knowledge and skills to my students.
On my first day of class, I was able to get to know my students better. Even though I
know them for quite a long time. I was not able to know their hobbies, interests, and
dreams in life. We have a self-introduction and I start on myself. Introducing myself to
the students is so fun because I was able to tell them my aspirations in life and my
purpose in teaching them. I also discussed my class rules so that they would not be a
nuisance in class and follow me. The one thing that I emphasize with them is the word
respect. I want them to respect me and also every person they are with. Second day of
class is challenging as I am not experienced enough to have them controlled. On that
day they got distracted by their gadgets while I was teaching. I was able to control the
situation by confiscating their gadgets and reminding them of my class rules. My
students are very good at listening as they follow me immediately and focus on me.
Teaching on the third day was manageable. It was so much fun seeing my students
being participative in my class. They also enjoy the game that I make for them. English
is important to learn because it is our second language so I teach them about nouns
that are very important to know. It was awesome that they were able to pick what I am
saying and able to give examples. On my fourth day of class I make them learn about
exercise. In their young age different types of exercise must be introduced to them so
that they can use it in everyday life. It will be boring if we are always having discussions
so I prepare a song to do a Zumba and I demonstrate to them how to do a warm-up
exercise.
Half way through my project I can say that I adapted to the environment of teaching.
Fifth day together with my students is nice and letting them work alone with activities
shows independence. But as a trainee I want them to learn to communicate and work
with each other. To accomplish it I prepare a group activity and let them work together
and brainstormed. Developing children's communication skills may help them in the
future. On our six day of having classes I noticed their development as students. They
are now well behaved and show independence in studying. I was able to let them feel
the face to face approach of teaching like they were used before. We had fun that day
dancing and knowing the benefits of exercise. I teach them the benefits of exercise so
that they can appreciate the importance of exercise and be encouraged to do it and live
a healthy life. On our last day, I feel a little bit sad as well as my students because that
will be our last day and we will surely miss having class. I was able to teach them
multiplication and how to do it and solve it easily. It was hard to teach it because I am
not good at it but I want them to have some growth in learning Mathematics because
many people hate that particular subject. We also have a mini-recognition that day. I am
so grateful to have finished my seven days of teaching. My heart is grateful seeing them
appreciate their certificate and have some independence in studying. Reaching my
goals and making them learn is the biggest accomplishment I had that day. Studying
has never been easy but letting them explore new knowledge and skills and be part of it
is really fulfilling.
