Biotechnology is the controlled use of living organism in process for manufacture of useful
products.
Biotechnology, the use of biology to solve problems and make useful products. The most
prominent area of biotechnology is the production of therapeutic proteins and other drugs
through genetic engineering. It may involve micro-organisms plants or animals.

iii. Improvement of variety.
iv. Somatic hybridization.
v. Embryo rescue.vi. Nitrogen fixation in non-leguminous plant.
vii. Development of transgenic plant, animal and microbes.
