QS24 – 24” Quadsplit Monitor

The new KROMA QS series is based on three models in

17", 24" and 46”. With 8 PAL/SD/HD-SDI autosensing
inputs and 2xDVI inputs, the monitors can work as a
video preselector, displaying four video signals
simultaneously, and the possibility of choosing among
the alternative available signals directly from the
front panel controls. Additional features such as
dynamic In-Monitor Displays (IMDs), VU-metres,
configurable dynamic tally and LTC are also included.

Wide spectrum of video inputs
The DVI-I input accepts signals in different modes: VGA, graphic
mode DVI, video mode DVI, as well as HD YPbPr analogue
components.
The 8 Composite/SD/HD-SDI inputs accept both analogue and
digital signals. The monitor is able to autodetect the signal
format, including the different analogue standards
(PAL/NTSC/SECAM) and the most popular SD and HD digital
formats up to 1080p.
HD versions by password activation
The KROMA password activation system is the perfect way for a
successful transition to HD. The HD capabilities of the monitor
are activated at user’s request; this way, the unit is adapted to
the user’s needs.
The QS24 is provided with 2xDVI-I inputs and 8xComposite/SD-
SDI inputs by default. Nevertheless, since the complete
hardware is built-in, the HD option can be either activated in
factory or after the purchase, with only a password input
through the keypad in the front panel. This makes an SD-SDI
input become an SD/HD-SDI input within seconds.
The QS24 can be used to monitor both analogue and digital
audio: any of the 4 analogue stereo inputs or the built-in
audio de-embedder, can be fed to the on-screen VU-metres, or
listened to by using the built-in speaker or the front audio
output (jack connector).
Dynamic In-monitor Displays (IMD)
Each of the video signals can count with a dynamic in-monitor
display, compatible with the TSL protocol, in order to keep the
different video signals correctly identified.
Configurable on-screen tally
Along with the in-monitor displays, tally signals can be
showed. Up to three different colours and a frame around the
picture make tally signals noticeable for each of the four
displayed pictures.
Linear Time Code (LTC) reader
The LTC signalling can be extracted and displayed, so that
synchronization information can be constantly monitored.
