If you had time and money, what are three places in the world that you would visit and
why?

Would you travel by plane, ship, or train?

Would you rather stay in a big hotel, a small inn, or even a youth hostel?

What kinds of things do you like to do when you visit a new place for the first time?
Explain your reasons.

Idioms
“hit the road” = go somewhere
“We plan on hitting the road early tomorrow morning.”

“be in the same boat” = be in the same situation

“Everyone has to pay for his or her own trip, so we’re all in the same boat.”

the time when the restaurant opens, so you’ll have enough time to grab a quick breakfast before
we leave the hotel at 8:00.

We’ll be taking a ferry ride to Ellis Island and then to Liberty Island to visit the Statue of Liberty. I
mean, this is something that you really can’t miss, and later, we will go to Times Square where you
can have lunch on your own for about an hour from about 1 to 2.
