ASSESSMENT/ACTIVITY

Answer the following questions:

1. What do you observe in the lesson Good Citizenship

Values? Why do you say so?

a. I observed that there are various factors

regarding being a good citizen. Those are Maka-

Diyos, Makatao,  Makakalikasan, and
Makabansa/makabayan. These four values are
the key for us Filipinos to become a good citizen
as they are the qualities that will help us to be a
better person overall if achieved.

2. In your own words, define good citizenship values.

a. I believe that good citizenship values are the

quality we should all possess. It is the quality of

being able to carry out our responsibilities and
duty both as a human being, as a Filipino, and as
a citizen in our country.

3. How do you show your faith in the Almighty God?

According to the discussion of MakaDiyos in this module,

what is the first step that you should do to show faith in the
Almighty God?
a. I show faith similar to the first step written in

the module. I do my best to follow His words and

teachings as it was also what was taught to me
growing up.

4. How can you show your respect for life?

a. In my opinion, to show that we respect life is

by taking care of it, cherishing it, and not letting it

go easily. Giving respect for life should not be
neglected, and by saying life it doesn’t mean
human lives only. There are also the
environment, this includes plants and animals.
Life should not be trampled upon.

5. Have you ever been in love? Do you feel you are

loved?
a. There are many forms of love such as storge,

agape, philia, and etc. If being in love it meant

romantically, unfortunately the answer is no. but I
believe it’ll come naturally. To answer whether I
am loved, yes. My family do love me and so I am
to them.

6. What is your standard of love?

a. I must say that my number one standard is

loyalty, I mean this in almost every kind or type of

love in loving, I believe that we should stay loyal
and commit to it as it was your choice in the first
place to love, and if you decided that your love
has ended etc. you also should say that straight.
No deceptions needed.

7. The Golden Rule says “Do unto others what you want

others do unto you”. What do you think is the standard of

love if we consider this rule?
a. It’s conditional, conditional love. This is the

complete opposite of ‘unconditional love’ which

most people like to refer to as true love. Again, I
believe that there are different types of love and
different ways to express love. This in particular
means that when you love someone, you want
that someone to love you like you do.

8. What is the importance of the environment in the

development of the society? Why do you say so?

a. Environment is where raw resources we need

in our economy, including society, to grow. This

doesn’t mean that we have to exhort the
environment, this means that we need to
preserve it is that it doesn't disappear entirely or
else where would we get the resources we need
to survive? In other words, we need the
environment to survive but the environment
doesn’t need us.

9. In your own ways, how can you contribute in the

protection of the environment from its threats?

a. I can do little things such as not wasting

electricity, try to avoid using products that aren’t

eco-friendly, lessen my carbon footprints, heed
the triple r which is to reduce reuse and recycle,
throw my trash in the right place, reduce the use
of non-reusable plastic, and etc.

10. Cite personal incidents / moments in your life that

you feel you have become:

a. Maka-Diyos

i. Whenever I go to church. We

also pray at night before going to sleep. This

routine that we strive to do consistently is
what I think made me more Maka-Diyos.
b. Makatao

i. Whenever I feel empathy

towards others, specifically the

underprivileged. There are also times when I
help someone, even in little ways, and feel
happy about the thought that I was of help.
c. Makakalikasan

i. Whenever I tend the plants

at home, segregate the garbage, and being

conscious about the environment like for
example picking eco-friendly products when
shopping etc.
d. Makabansa/makabayan

i. Whenever I follow the law.

For example, during the pandemic, I didn’t

take the health protocols by the government
lightly. Instead, I did my best to follow them.
Bit similar to Makatao, I try to do the
common good.
