MODULE 2

ACTIVITY 1
1. What do you observe in the lesson Good Citizenship Values? Why do you say so?

 I observed that Good Citizenship Values is clustered into 4; Maka-Diyos, Maka-Tao, Maka-
Bayan, and Maka-Kalikasan. With the help of this four, it makes the citizens of the country be
responsible and practice patriotism. We can say that a citizen with good citizenship properly
fulfills its role in the nation.

2. In your own words, define good citizenship values.

 Good Citizenship Values is a set of values of course that helps the nation build a responsible,
god-fearing, respectful, etc. citizens. It is important to study this things to give people the
knowledge and skills to understand the democraric society they are in that includes politics,
economy, media and the laws. In our country, we do have set of values a citizen must have such
as being Maka-Diyos, Maka-Tao, Maka-Bayan, and Maka-Kalikasan. These we're the 4 aspects
that being teach to all the students to help them practice good citizenship values because it is
something that we must haves to show respect to those people who sacrifices their lives for the
country, to a better nation, and to show out love to the nation.

3. How do you show your faith in the Almighty God? According to the discussion of Maka Diyos in this
module, what is the first step that you should do to show faith in the Almighty God?

 I show my faith in God by simply talking to him every morning and before I go to sleep, I also
thank him every time I received such a blessing. I don't usually go to church but I know this is not
how you measure your faith in God, as long as you know yourself you accept God in your heart
and in your soul that's enough to show your faith in our Almighty God. The first step that's been
said in order to show faith in God is to obey him and lives according to his teaching. Well, as a
matter of fact this is the most effective and efficient way to show our faith in God, I grew up
having his words because of my dad. He often leaves us word of God every time me and my
siblings fight, in able to teach us and realize what is wrong and what we need to do. With the help
of this, we grew up reading our bible and to have a devotion every night. Even though we stop
doing that because of some family problems, we know that we still have faith in God in our
hearts.

4. Prophet Jeremiah said “This is what the Almighty says: “when seventy years are completed for Babylon, I
will come to you and fulfill my gracious promise to bring you back to this place. For I know the plans I
have for you,” declares the Almighty God,“ plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you
hope and a future. Then you will come upon me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you.”’ Using
the prophecy of the Prophet Jeremiah, how do you find your present and future with the Almighty God?

 To be honest, I find my present as a blessing even though I've experiences huge conflicts and
problems as a student, as a daughter and as an eldest sister. My present with God is such a great
battle, where in I have to win and to continue to another level of the game. I know his in my back
always and I don't have to be afraid every time I’m facing the battle. There were time that I got
lose, but it will never be the reason for me to give up. God is with me,
5. How can you show your respect for life?

 I can show my respect for life by giving huge importance and seeing the life as a blessing from
Almighty God.

6. Have you ever been in love? Do you feel you are loved?

 Yes, from the first moment I saw my parents I feel so in loved. There are a lot of time that I feel
loved, it is a feeling that is uncontrollable. Loving someone is somehow a choice but the feeling
is something you can't deny. And of course, I always feel loved. God is with me, and he loves me,
he love everyone so there's no reason for us to be not feel loved. But in some cases, we have this
thing called physical love that most of the people want to feel. There's nothing more precious than
being physically loved and care by someone. That's why we often hear people saying no one
loves them because the physical touch or physical love is what they are looking for. Little did
they know, they will never feel unloved of you have God in your hearts, you will never feel alone
if you know and accepted God in your mind and in your soul.

7. What is your standard of love?

 Actually, my standard of love is God-fearing, Family Oriented, Goal Digger, Respectful,

Responsible, Faithful and Loveable person. This is what I am looking up to and I don’t need such
a rich person, because I know we will be successful someday, we can reach our goals together,
and be wealthy at the same time with the guide of our Lord Jesus Christ. On the other hand, I've
realized that those standards is not being so maarte but instead it helps you to the better future,
you need to set your standards that is feasible and attainable in able to guide your future.

8. The Golden Rule says “Do unto others what you want others do unto you”. What do you think is the
standard of love if we consider this rule?

 I think the standard of love that is being point out in the quote is being faithful. If you're looking
for a person who will not hurt you, care for you and love you then be a good example to other
people, show them or treat them what you're expecting for them to do unto you. In this world, full
of distractions, full of sins and full of temptations we can't avoid those people who will abuse
your kindness and end up being hurt, and cheated on even though you do anything but to love
them as much they did.

9. What is the importance of the environment in the development of the society? Why do you say so?

 The importance of the environment in the development of the society is because human action is
constrained by social structures, this structure is subject to change. Changes in nature may force
changes in social structure which in turn lead to changes in human behavior. Human interacts
with their environments. The environment provides ecosystem services to human and it benefits
people from it. People helps environment by taking care of it and they are being responsible to all
of it. They should keep it that it can sustainably satisfy their needs. The environment is what
contains society. Within society are individual people and it is being develop overtime.
10. In your own ways, how can you contribute in the protection of the environment from its threats?

 If I am going to be a responsible and active citizen, I can contribute a lot in our environment. In
today's era we can do a lot and be one of those keys in order to have a very safe environment.
First is to practice the reduce, reuse and recycle method, I am going to start it with myself and I
can use my voice to influence my family, friends and the youth. Second is to volunteer, since I
have my experience in participating various programs with regards to community development it
will be easy for me be part of them most of the time and encourage my colleagues to be part of it
also. Third is to conserve water, as the eldest among my siblings I always practice conserving of
water in our house. I always make sure that the faucet is always closed if it is not used, and I do
checking of leaks to fix it as soon as possible. Last one is to turn off the electrical devices in our
house when not use.

ACTIVITY 2
1. Cite personal incidents / moments in your life that you feel you have become: a. Maka-Diyos b. Makatao c.
Makakalikasan d. Makabansa/makabayan

 Maka-Diyos - I always talk to God wholeheartedly every morning I wake up, and before I go to
sleep. I always do sign of the cross whenever I passed by into church. I also do leading of the
prayer when given the opportunity. I always give thanks to all of the blessing we had, and lastly
accepting and applying his words and teaching in everyday life.
Maka-Tao - Inside the school, I always elect as a leader and I show my pagiging Maka-tao by
respecting my classmate rights, decisions and opinions in regards with the differences of each and
every one. In some circumstances, I show my pagiging Maka-tao by using po and opo, yes by
showing respect and good manners to the eldest.
Maka-Kalikasan - I always join to the community development inside and outside our school, I
also participate to clean and green programs in our barangay with the help of my grandmother
who is well-known by other officials. Due to this program is not always available or implemented
every day I show my pagiging Maka-Kalikasan by simply being a responsible citizen, I don't
throw garbage everywhere instead I put it on trash bins with proper segregation of course. I also
implemented the platform Battle of bottles in our school where in we encourage student of
Arellano to collect plastic bottles instead of throwing it anywhere, there are various awards for
those section who will have the most number of plastic bottle, the most beautiful decorations
made up of plastic bottles, and who had greatest amount after the bottles have been exchange to
the municipal.
Maka-Bansa - I show my pagiging Maka-Bansa by strictly following the rules, ordinance and
laws of my community and nation. Just like the implementation of curfew nowadays, the social
distancing, wearing of face masks I always make sure to follow all of the city and community
ordinance as a responsible citizen. I also patronize local products rather than the imported
products, because I strongly believe that this will greatly help to our country's economy since
we’re always looking for a successful view of our country.

2. Explain the details. What have you learned and realized out from that experience?

 I realized a lot with my experienced. In pagiging Maka-Diyos, I treasured the communication

between me and the Almighty God. The feeling of joy and fulfillment is something that is
unexplainable and it gives myself a hope in facing the new battles of my life. I realized that if you
surrender yourself to God, you don't have to worry at all because you know that God is always
with you. In practicing pagiging Maka-Tao, I realized that you will be able to live a happy life if
you will always respect other people's opinion, decisions, way of living, etc. If you know that
people doesnt live in the same way, because we do have that differences within ourselves you'll
be able to live positively happy. Third is pagiging Maka-Kalikasan, I realized that if we still not
give attention to our nature we will run out of time because our Mother Earth is at risk and we,
people will the one who suffers. Lastly, is pagiging Maka-Bansa it is one of my favorite cluster to
talk to because I often sees an arguments of those Filipinos who always give their rants and
complaints in our government but not following the rules and protocol of their one's country. We
must help each other rather than fighting, it is not the key to a better nation instead it makes us
people to be more apart.

strong my faith is.

C. Family Oriented- I think I surely possess this strength because I value my family so much. I
love them always, and will do anything for them. They are the reason why I study well because I
want them to have a better future wherein we don't have to be apart just to earn enough money to
sustain our needs.
