CONSENT TO PARTICIPATE IN THE STUDY

We are students of Cor Jesu College and we are taking ECED 13 subject which has a description
“Research in Early Childhood Education”. We are currently doing our research entitled
“Difficulties in 21st Century Teaching Approach of Early Childhood Education Teacher”.
You do not have to decide today whether or not you will participate in the research. Before you
decide, you can talk to anyone you feel comfortable with about the research. This consent form
may contain words that you do not understand. Please ask us to stop as we go through the
information and we will take time to explain. If you have questions, please feel free to ask us or
other researchers.

1. I have understood the information sheet provided about this research project.
2. I understand that taking part of this study is voluntary. I may withdraw myself or any
information I have provided for this project at anytime prior to completion of the
information gathering, without being disadvantaged any way. If I withdraw, I understand
that all relevant tapes and transcripts, or parts thereof, will be destroyed.
3. I am given enough time to think and reflect whether to take part in this study or not.
4. I consent to the interviews being audiotaped and videotaped for transcript and use as
important in this study.
5. I understand that the information recorded is confidential, and no one else except the
researchers will have the access to the information documented during the interview. No
one will be identified by name on tape. The tape will be kept in a safe storage where only
the researchers who have access to the tapes.
6. I understand that the researchers will not be sharing information about me to anyone
outside.
7. I understand that the knowledge that the researchers get from this research will be shared
with me before it is made available to the public. I will also receive a summary of the
results.
