5. Subject
This Engineering Change Bulletin (ECB) informs you about the Hot gas Bypass SET UP for the dryers produced by PC
Brendola.
• HGBV REPLACEMENT
• If at commissioning is after 30min in unload condition at rated temperature of 20°C÷25°C (68°F÷77°F) the PDP
is not according to the value reported in the technical specification available in Business Portal
7. Application
Here a simple procedure to reset the HGBV setting:
• This operation must be done in UNLOAD condition at rated temperature of 20°C÷25°C (68°F÷77°F). For precise
setting the machine must be turned ON for at least 30 minutes. The operator has to remove the closing cap (ref.
1) and to adjust the screw (ref.2)
• Verify the dryer and the refrigerant gas TYPES on unit dataplate:

1. Verify the dryer and the refrigerant gas TYPES on unit dataplate;
2. Connect the manometer to the Schrader port to read the evaporating pressure and convert this value to the
evaporating temperature;
3. Remove the PDP temperature sensor by the heat exchanger
4. Set the “HGBV without solenoid” upstream as per those recommended values:

5. Reconnect the PDP temperature sensor using silicon grease that must be a dielectric, heat dissipater. PC
Brendola suggests:
o Compound Greasil MS12
6. Use a Service-magnet solenoid to open the solenoid valve to set the second “HGBV with solenoid valve” as
per those recommended values:
