About Bikrampur:

Ashoka, the emperor of the Maurya Dynasty, ruled all of major parts of Bengal from ca. 269 BC to 232
BC.[1] Being a devotee of Gautama Buddha, he propagated Buddhism across his kingdom which
included Bikrampur to the east. Following the high ideals of this religion, Pala Kings came to Bikrampur
to rule the region. It was ruled by:

1.       Pala Era
2.       Chandra Era
3.       Sen Era
4.       Mughal Era

About Projanmo Bikrampur:

Projanmo Bikrampur is social club with following objectives:

1.       To build and connect relationship among people of Bikrampur

2.       To protect and preserve archeological elements
3.       To develop human culture
4.       To protect and build architecture, artifacts, biofacts, human remains and landscapes
5.       To build social relationship with India (Specially Bangladeshi who migrant to India from
Bikrampur)

We also want to notify you that famous Indian politician and scientist were born in Bikrampur like Benoy
Krishna Basu, Dinesh Gupta & Born Sudhir Gupta ( Benoy Badal Dinesh were influenced by revolutionary
activities against British), Chittaranjan Das, Sarojini Naidu, Jagadish Chandra Bose & Justice Chandra
Madhub Ghosh ( First Bangali Justice).
With consideration with above matters Projanmo Bikrampur is trying to set up INDO-BANGLA Institution
in Bikrampur ( Munshigonj). We believe India and state Bank of India would be partner with our effort.
