WHAT IS A JOB INTERVIEW?

A job interview is a conversation between a job applicant and an empollar

representative that is conducted to assess whether the applicant should be hired.
Interviews are one of the most used tools for employee selection. Interviews
vary in the extent to which the questions are prepared and structured, from a
totally informal and unstructured conversation to a fully structured interview in
which the applicant is asked a predetermined list of questions in a specific order.

It is a selection technique, through which the employer evaluates the skills,

competencies and professional profile of the interviewee.

WHY IS A JOB INTERVIEW SO IMPORTANT?

Because it makes you known and shows that you are the right person, the
candidate whose knowledge, skills and attitudes are what employers are looking
for.

STEPS OF A JOB INTERVIEW:

1- Presentation
The exchange of introductions is the first stage of this procedure and is the time
where you and the hiring manager introduce yourself. It usually involves a
handshake and your formal introduction to the interviewer.

2- Conversation
Here you speak courteously to the hiring manager or panel members. They may
ask you personal questions to get to know you more as a person and identify
those personality traits that align with the organization's culture.

3- Collection of information
The interviewer may ask you to make a brief description of your profile and your
interests in being part of the team. It is very common to be asked to talk about
yourself, your interests, motivations, aspirations and career path and knowledge
about the company to which you are applying in broad strokes.

4- Execution of the interview
Focus on demonstrating the qualities that set you apart from the rest and make
you an important asset to the company.

5- Conclusión
This is the key moment to thank the interviewer for their time, shake hands
again, show your gratitude for the opportunity, and express your interest in
working with them.
