ARTIFACT 1

An article titled “Environmental pollution needs to be stopped.”enhanced my way of thinking

about the environment and how we can stop it.This showed me that the environment needs to

get better and pollution needs to be stopped before dangerous calamities occur in the world

population.

This poster that I chose helped me see ways pollution could be prevented from harming the environment

around us and showed me it was very serious. It adjusted my way of thinking in a more direct appeal.

ARTIFACT 3
While I was reading the poem “Pollution” by Sylvia Chidi. I could have understood it more

because of the stanzas in the poem it had me feeling sorry for the world we live in and how

pollution affects us more than we think.

Poem

The poem “pollution,” sets a gloomy mood. The language used in the poem was formal, and
there were also uses of language techniques such as personification. An example of this is
“wildlife is crying.”This describes the forest burning from fire caused by humans.

The poster "Ways to prevent pollution." sets a positive mood. The language technique used in
this piece was a literary device. The literary device used was imagery and an example of this is
the images on the poster were sticking out and showing that humans could prevent pollution
such as "reduce recycle and reuse" and also "No cigarettes".

My final piece is a newspaper article titled "Environmental pollution needs to be stopped."which

sets an optimistic tone on our future if we don't try to stop pollution. This article also included
formal language. An example of this is "Pollution comes from human and natural made
sources." We see this when the trash used by factories damages the quality of the air around
the atmosphere.
