Describe the primary research that would be appropriate and feasible for this topic: (Key Results of the Capstone)
My primary research will be about traditional disputes and resolution processes and how they can be advanced using
the significant tools enabled in BIM technology.
Key Milestones/ Results:
1. Identify the use of delay analysis in the Construction industry.
2. Research the available Delay analysis techniques of delay analysis.
3. Delay analysis implementation using BIM technology.
4. Challenges.
Describe the relevance this topic has to the BIM in AECOO industries:
 With all facilities and features in BIM technology, the claims and dispute resolution process will be more smooth
and more effective.
 Can BIM help overcome barriers that the construction industry faces regarding claims and dispute resolution?
 This study aims to identify, and analyze, the required corresponding provisions to be added to integrating into
BIM-enabled contracts.
Methodology
1. I will conduct academic research to illustrate the delay analysis development and use in construction.
2. Research and document available delay analysis techniques.
3. Pros and Cons analysis between traditional and BIM delay analysis implementation.
4. Practical recommendations on implementing and improving the developed aspect of the delay analysis field.
