Plan of action

1-Hybrid approach
It can be helpful to think about the social dynamics that apply to your own life
when attempting to forge deep ties with members. Do you exclusively speak with
your friends and family in person or only in groups? How do you communicate
with them? You've probably done both to a large extent! This is in line with what
your members also desire. You ought to employ a hybrid strategy rather than just
one mode of communication.

Provide your members with a variety of options to stay involved to deepen the
experience of engagement, such as interacting in your online member community,
participating in a relaxed virtual event with a few other members to discuss a
shared interest, and/or joining a zoom call. Members must experience your
particular attention. In the form of online communities and virtual events, they
also require the stimulating connectedness of member groups and the wealth of
knowledge and support that can result from that.

2- Embraces New Rules

You should adjust your strategy as your membership's needs evolve over time and
reassess your engagement improvement efforts. A "business as usual" strategy
might feel familiar, but it can prevent your organisation from thriving.

Rethinking some of your engagement strategies might help your organisation

expand and demonstrate its worth, especially as newer generations join the ranks.

Although there can be great value in going old school and picking up the phone to
call individual member. This doesn't mean you should throw out everything that
doesn't have a 21st-century digital component.

Your firm can remain relevant by making even tiny adjustments that have a major
impact. Consider interaction from the perspectives of your members because
empathy is crucial in this situation. What suits their needs and melds naturally
with the way they utilise technology and do daily business? What might motivate
their thirst for human contact?

3- Goals
Starting with clearly defined and easily measurable goals can help you determine
whether your strategy is effective. most significant? Make sure your objectives line
up with those of your organisation. (At its core, member engagement will enhance
your association's retention, event registrations, and member happiness; but, you
must distinctly define these links.)
