Mental health determines how we think, feel and act.

Good
mental health is when we feel positive about ourselves and cope
well with everyday pressures.
On our everyday life, mental health challenges in the life of
adolescents are continuing to rise. There are many factors that
contribute to my mental health as an adolescent. Some of these
factors are having anxiety, fear of failing, fear of not reaching
people’s expectations, family problems, overwhelmed with a lot of
school works and peer pressure. Mental health challenges are
different than situational sadness or fatigue. They’re more severe
and longer lasting, and they can have a large impact on daily life.
They can affect my usual way of thinking, feeling or acting, and
can interfere with daily life. As an adolescent, there are some
instances that I spend more time with my friends than my family,
gain a sense of identity and purpose, and become more
independent. All of these experiences are crucial for my
development but a mental health challenge can disrupt or
complicate that development.
In order to cope with the challenges that I’ve experience, I do
things that will help me to feel relax and away from stress. Some
of these things are talking with my friends, doing things that I
enjoy, do relaxing exercise, go to a quiet place that will help me
think peacefully and to have enough rest / sleep.
