(Evans called EVANS THE BREAK –had Asked Governor if exam had begun
escaped thrice) Said a correction slip –forgotten
Presently in Oxford prison Call put through to Jackson
Governor of prisons requested Governor feared a hoax –called

Secretary of Examination board gave Second call from Magistrate’s Court –
consent needed a prison van & 2prison officers
A day before exam –visited by German for remand case
teacher (accomplice) Governor wondered if it was a hoax
ON THE DAY OF EXAM :- MORE LAPSES :-
STEPHENS (recently recruited officer) AT 10.50 A.M. –Governor heard Evans
and JACKSON (senior prison officer ---D asking for a blanket around his
wing ) inspected Evans’cell shoulders –STEPHEN –got apprehensive
At 8.45 a.m. –invigilator Rev Stuart At 11.20 a.m. –Governor heard 5
McLeery (accomplice) left flat with minutes were left

Times At 11.22 a.m. JACKSON shouted to
STEPHEN that Governor wished to

for police & ambulance, panic in prison Two men in van took Evans

SEEING GERMAN PAPER :-
Prison officer unlocked the handcuffs
