Checked By: Print Name: Signature: Position: Date: Distribution: File Operational Guidance Check the above items prior to use Position the pallet truck carefully, ensuring the load is centred about the forks and is completely stable With the forks in the lowest position, manoeuvre the truck so that it is adjacent to the lifting point Ensure there is no obstruction before raising the load, or that the load cannot foul the action of the pallet truck when it is raised When lowering the lift with the forks loaded DO NOT yank up the control lever. Pull it up carefully and gradually so that the load descends under complete control. ALWAYS ENSURE THAT THE LIFTING EQUIPMENT IS SECURED FROM UNAUTHORISED OPERATION WHEN LEFT UNATTENDED – if necessary, chock the wheels Safety Precautions DO NOT exceed the maximum working load for the truck – see specifications DO NOT use on rough terrain DO NOT transport personnel on the truck DO NOT leave the truck on a gradient without first securely chocking the wheels DO NOT use if wheels or castors are damaged – have them replaced immediately ALWAYS ensure the load is evenly distributed on the forks and is perfectly stable before attempting to raise All defective equipment must be removed from use until repaired or a suitable replacement supplied DO NOT USE FAULTY EQUIPMENT
