Anne with an e (anne of greengables)

A young girl was so happy she was finally out from the orphanage that became her nightmare
everyday the girl’s name was Anne. She was so overjoyed that she can’t stop talking while on
their way to her new home, meanwhile Matthew was silent and seems surprised at Anne’s
attitude but as time goes by while they’re in their way home Matthew starts to also talk to
Anne.
While traveling back Anne found a spacious crop field and their saw a scarecrow. Suddenly a
horrible event relapses through her mind, that time when she was taken in the orphanage by
an abusive family, it all relapsed to her mind the way they hit her with stick when Anne didn’t
do her job perfectly, she was a slave to them not a daughter. One time she was late at her
schedule at watering the crops and then she was punished by standing at the broad crop field
that is exposed to sun like a scarecrow. She was only back to the orphanage when her abusive
adoptive “parents” died because of a heart attack.
When they finally arrived at the house, Matthew’s sister Marilla is standing at the front of the
house looking confused and the same time upset “Where’s the boy?” she asked. Matthew
suddenly became silent and said that there was no boy. Marilla was in strong denial in adopting
Anne because she was a girl. “I said if you are adopting make sure it’s a boy”. Anne suddenly
interrupts “But I can also do what boys can”. Marilla bent down on the little girl’s level and
explained, “I’m so sorry little girl but there is some kind of mistakes, we asked for a boy not a
girl.” Anne’s face suddenly changed and turned into a sad face “I knew you wouldn’t want me, I
shouldn’t have been expect too much, it’s always like this or the parents to adopt me is
abusive” Anne said as if she was about to cry. Marilla felt a guilt in her heart but didn’t let it
appear on her face. “You can stay at our house for one night but you will go tomorrow in the
morning”. As Anne the house she thought will serve as her new home she asked where’s the
room she was sleeping in right away and then lays at the bed. She was crying and crying and
Marilla who was hearing this deepens the guilt in her heart.
The next morning Marilla accompany her to the orphanage at their in the Greengables and said
that there must be a mistake. Suddenly a lady who looked stress because of her children came
at the orphanage “I need a maid because of these children” she looks rude and doesn’t care
about people her stare suddenly landed on Anne who looks scared“this child will do ill adopt
her”
Marilla suddenly speak “ i-I didn’t say we won’t adopt Anne…I-I just said that there must be a
mistake but its ok now, lets go Anne”. Anne was overflowing with joy as she heard those words
from Marilla, when they’re at their house Marilla told her that she was still on a trial if she was
worthy staying of their house therefore Anne was still glad that she was in this trial. Everyday
she smiles brightly at Marilla and Matthew and do some house chores even though Marilla said
not to do so many chores.
One day, Marilla realized that the brochure of her family was missing she hurriedly suspected
Anne as the culprit asked it to her immediately
Marilla:” Where is it?” Marilla asked angrily
Anne: “The what?” Anne asked smiling as usual in a good mood
Marilla: The brochure I know you stole it! Give it back!
Anne: But I didn’t stole it!
Marilla just stare at her coldly and then Anne suddenly speaks “if I said that I stole it will you let
me stay?”, Marilla silently nod
Anne: I-I played with it and then lost it.
Marilla was beyond furious that time but she kept here cool then she told Anne with a cold
expression “you are going back to the orphanage tomorrow Anne.” The next morning Anne
goes back to mainland where she came from. Marilla on the other hand calmed down then
decided to look for the drawer then she was so surprised when she found out that her family
brochure was at the drawer and that means Anne didn’t lost it.
Marilla quickly said it to Matthew and said to fetch her. Marilla was so devastated she was so
guilty when she found out that she accused the girl. Matthew traveled and traveled until he
finally saw Anne and bring her home. When they got home Marilla can’t say anything she
decided to act normal like nothing happened, as day passed by Marilla and Matthew became
fond of Anne and her cheerfulness then they decided to adopt Anne completely. Anne signed
the adaptation paper which her name there was Anne Cuthberg.
Marilla has a neighbor “Rachel” which have a sharp tongue, one day Rachel visited Marilla and
was surprised to see Anne
