Laboratory 2
You must observe the set of rules & regulations mentioned below whenever you are in a
laboratory. Disciplinary action will be imposed on those who flout these rules.
Objectives
1. Familiarization with the wiring and circuit connection.
2. Analysis of Op-Amp AC circuits as well as voltage measurements.
3. Verification of measured values with calculations.
Equipment Required
1. Power Supply
2. Digital Multimeter
3. Oscilloscope
4. Breadboard
5. Wires
6. Resistors (20K and 100K)
7. Op Amplifier (741 or LM358)
Circuit 1
Procedure
1. Connect up the circuit shown in Figure 1 using the components provided.
Figure 1
2. Once you have connected the circuit, ask your facilitator to check your circuit before
switching on the power supply.

3. Use the oscilloscope in the lab to perform the voltage measurements and tabulate them in
Table 1.
Table 1
Measured
V-PP -1V
V+PP 1V
Vout 4.96V
4. Verify the values which you have tabulated by calculating the Vout.
Vout/Vin = -(RF/RI)
Vout/1 = -(100000/20000)
Vout = -5V
